ECON 210 — Applied Introductory Statistics for Economics

The use and application of foundational statistical methods to economic, finance, business, sociology and other social science data involving probability, hypothesis testing, and predictive concepts. Topics include descriptive statistics, measures of central tendency, sampling, correlation, statistical tests (such as analysis of variance, t-tests and chi-square tests), statistical inference, linear regression, interpretation of statistical findings, and use of statistical computer applications. This course is not open to students currently enrolled or who have already received credit to MATH 112 or MATH 112S or PSYC 210 or STAT C1000.
