MUSC 101H3 — Honors Music and Society
Introduction to academic study of Western art music, jazz, popular music, and world music. Students will gain experience in guided listening and in reading, writing, and critical thinking about musical cultures and their roles in society. Required for music majors. Prerequisite: Music major or music minor and honors standing or instructor consent. (Typically offered: Fall) This course is equivalent to MUSC 10103 .
