HIST& 148 — United States History III
This course investigates prominent political, social, cultural, scientific, and economic events in the 20th and 21 st centuries. Prominent themes include the rise of American science and technology, the World Wars and the Cold War, Civil Rights and White pushback, the Great Depression and the rise and the eventual demise of social welfare programs, the women’s movement, America’s involvement in the Middle East, and American foreign policy.
