The course will include trends and the impact of addiction on individuals, families, the community, and nation, assessment and recognition of substance use disorders, ethics, and treatment and recovery methods. Students will develop knowledge and skill in the area of addiction studies to be able to identify, provide, and/or refer services to individuals with addiction.
