This course includes information on the role of the physical therapist assistant and their responsibilities specific to patient care, documentation and communication as a member of the healthcare team. Common patterns of delivery for physical therapy services, methods of referral, and an introduction to medical abbreviations are presented. The role of professional ethics and legal issues will be explored as they relate to documentation and reimbursement.
