MECH2501 — Fluid & Mechanical Systems
MECH 2501 - Fluid & Mechanical Systems MECH 2501 - Fluid & Mechanical Systems Lecture: 3 Lab: 2 A study of the principles of mechanical power transmission using fluid, air and physical components. Focus is on both the fundamentals of maintenance and basic design of these systems. Hydraulic and pnuematic topcis include how to utilize cylinders and motors to perform work as required, how to size fluid power circuit components, connect them together, and control them to form a functional system. Mechanical systems focus on the installation of components such as belt & chain drives, bearings, gears, keys, shafts, and couplings.
