In order to determine “need” for financial aid funds, taxable and nontaxable income information is necessary. Award funds are made based on this need. Income, assets, debts, size of family, and number of family members in college are important factors considered in the calculation. This information is reported on the application form and forwarded to the central processor for further processing. Supporting documentation is required based on Federal regulations. The FAFSA application is available at https://studentaid.gov. Deadline for Filing Financial Aid Applications Applications for each academic year are available as early as October 1st, and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
