BUS 220 — Business Ethics
This course includes the exploration of ethical issues arising in the context of doing business. Representative topics: employee rights and responsibilities, corporate regulations and rights, discrimination, truth in advertising, employee privacy, environmental exploitation and free enterprise. This is the first course in a sequence which includes the following topics: atomic and molecular structure, nomenclature and equations, properties, reactions and states of matter, stoichiometry, gas laws, solutions and equilibria. This course has a required lab component. (Prerequisite: ≥ C in MAT 110) This course is a continuation of the study of atomic and molecular structure, nomenclature and equations, properties, reactions and states of matter, stoichiometry, gas laws, solutions and equilibria. Other topics include kinetics, thermodynamics and electrochemistry. This course has a required lab component. (Prerequisite: ≥ C in CHM 110) This course may include selected topics such as career planning, study skills, stress management, tutoring, group guidance and other subjects to facilitate student success.
