PEDÂ 169 — Â Orienteering

This course introduces the various types of orienteering and proper orienteering techniques. Emphasis is placed on defining various types of orienteering and recognizing and drawing topographic map symbols. Upon completion, students should be able to draw topographic map symbols and negotiate a 3-5 km cross-country orienteering course in a specified time period. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
