CHEM 1110 - ^General Chemistry I CHEM 1110 - ^General Chemistry I This course is a comprehensive study of chemical principles designed for students pursuing a career in chemistry or other scientific areas. Emphasis will be on atomic structure, bonding, formulas, equations, nomenclature, and stoichiometry. Also included in the course are states of matter, hybridization, and molecular geometry. The laboratory will consist of a number of quantitative experiments designed to teach basic techniques, including the use of laboratory instrumentation. Credit in only one of the following courses can be used toward graduation or general education core requirements: CHEM 1030 , CHEM 1110.
