Cosmetology Certificate of Completion The Cosmetology operator program is a nine-month (30 credit hour) certificate of completion program (1000 clock hours). The Cosmetology instructor program is approximately 2 semesters in length (20 credit hours; 750 clock hours). The programs focus on hairstyling, manicures, facials, and skin care. A Cosmetologist specializes in the styling of hair, including cutting and chemical services such as relaxers, texturizers, perms, and color, as well as restorative treatments.
