SPAN V70B — Spanish for Medical Personnel II
This course is a continuation of SPAN V70A , designed for healthcare professionals and students preparing for clinical work in Spanish-speaking environments. Emphasis is placed on advanced communication skills for patient care, including detailed patient interviews, discussion of diagnoses, treatment plans, and culturally appropriate patient education including cultural concepts of distress and Latinx health issues. Students develop greater fluency and accuracy in professional Spanish through medical role-play simulations, case studies, and authentic healthcare materials.
