SOCI 32003 — Corrections and Social Control
Overview of correctional systems and punishment. Focuses on theories of correctional philosophies, practices, and procedures, along with the historical development and modern practices of corrections, sentencing, facilities, and issues facing correctional populations. Also examines principles and practices of treatment and rehabilitation in correctional settings. Prerequisite: CRIM 20003 .
