SEED 32903 — Secondary Education Residency
The teaching experience is an essential component of the Bachelor of Arts in Teaching degree. The two semester experience allows Teacher Candidates (TC) to make further application of theoretical principles of teaching and learning. Teacher Candidates will be assigned placement in area schools for both fall and spring semesters. Teacher candidates are placed in K-12 or 7-12 levels depending on their content area for licensure. The fall semester consists of a field experience including observation, co-planning, and co-teaching. The spring semester consists of an immersion experience for teacher candidates to plan and teach independently. Corequisite: SEED 32803 . Prerequisite: SEED 30803 , CIED 30303 , and admission to one of the following: EGEDBA, SSEDBA, DREDBA, SNEDBA, FREDBA or GREDBA. (Typically offered: Fall)
