Introduces students to quality management concepts and their use in enhancing organizational performance and profitability. History of the quality movement, its broad application in key economic sectors, and philosophical perspectives of major quality leaders will be discussed. Focus is on continuous process improvement, using data and information to guide organizational decision-making. Lean concepts, statistical tools, and supporting process improvement are also covered. Prerequisite: OMGT 50203 or have departmental consent. (Typically offered: Irregular)
