MILS 20002 — Leadership and Decision Making

This course focuses on basic Army leadership doctrine and develops the student's skills by introducing them to small unit tactics. Students learn to apply critical thinking and problem solving by using Troop Leading Procedures (TLP). Additional topics include the value of diversity, understanding the officer`s role in leading change, management skills, and the fundamentals of the Army as a profession. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours per week. Corequisite: Lab component. Prerequisite: MILS 10001 and MILS 10101 or departmental consent. (Typically offered: Fall)
