ISYS 57003 — Multivariate Analysis

3 credits · 3 hours

This seminar considers several multivariate data analysis techniques, including a conceptual overview and framework for applying each technique to answer research questions using primary data. Topics include (but may go beyond) intermediate data analysis techniques, the practical basics of scale development and assessment, contemporary approaches for testing moderation, mediation, and combinations of the two, and more broadly, various skills needed to publish empirical research in the social sciences. The course is structured to provide students with opportunities to develop skills involving multivariate techniques through direct application to relevant research questions and theory-based predictions. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. (Typically offered: Fall)
