Introduces child life programming in health care settings. Topics include: roles and expectations of a Child Life Specialist, importance of play, coping techniques, family advocacy, administration and professionalism. Lecture 3 hours per week. Prerequisite: ( HDFS 24303 or HDFS 243H3 ), and (HDFS majors or CDSV minors or IDST majors with CDSV or HDFS track). (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
