ARHS 442H3 — Honors Roman Art and Archaeology

Roman Art and Archaeology focuses on how visual and material culture shaped and were shaped by Roman society (religion, politics, economy, gender, ethnicity, etc.) from the Iron Age through the Late Antique period. We encounter famous masterpieces, but also the material remains of everyday Romans in civic and domestic spaces. Prerequisite: ARHS 20003 and honors standing. (Typically offered: Spring and Summer Even Years) This course is cross-listed with CLST 44203 , ARHS 44203 .
