DASC1301 — Introduction to Data Science
This course provides an overview of Data Science and an introduction to basic concepts, tools, and computer programming using Python, one of the major programming languages used by data scientists. This class will introduce students to the basic skills and tools necessary to efficiently collect, process, analyze, and visualize data sets. Students will gain hands-on experience with Python, finding and utilizing packages, and working in interactive (Jupyter) and non-interactive (Unix or Linux) environments.
