Part one of a two-course sequence, this course provides students with the content necessary to understand the complexities of human development and behavior. Students learn to evaluate various social environmental influences that affect human behavior and functioning, as well as how the social environment can impede or promote well-being. Particular attention is paid to life span development of infancy, early childhood, and adolescence.
