Add to Bookmarks 9 credit hours. Was ELEM 4902. Provides teacher candidates with one semester of clinical experience in a K-6 school setting; part of a year-long internship. The semester of clinical experience for candidates will begin with the mentor teacher and school returning to the classroom in the fall or spring and complete at 16 weeks. Candidates will gain competence in planning, teaching, and assessment of practices working in collaboration with mentor teachers and university personnel. The Arkansas Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS), the state-approved teacher evaluation system will be utilized as the performance assessment for candidates ongoing during the clinical experience.
