MAT 170 — Elementary Statistics # â
Fundamentals of descriptive statistics, including measures of center, variation and position, as well as graphical methods. Probability distributions, including the Normal, Binomial, Student-T, Chi Square and F-Distribution, as well as inferential statistical concepts, such as confidence intervals, sample sizes and hypothesis testing. Course concludes with work on correlation, regression and two-sample techniques. Students will be expected to utilize some form of technology in the class.
