IST 202 - Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials IST 202 - Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in small networks and introduces wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. Students learn how to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches for advanced functionality using secure best practices and resolve common issues with protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. This course will include a study of LANs, WANs, the OSI model, Ethernet, token ring, FDDI, TCP/IP protocols, dynamic routing, and the role and function of a network administrator. This s prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) credential.
