SEPX 1018 — Sound Meditation
An exploration of Sound Bath Meditation. This course introduces participants to the experience of being "bathed" in therapeutic sound waves, produced by instruments including crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes, and gongs. Participants typically sit in a chair or lie on the floor while listening to a guided meditation alongside the various sounds to create a deeply relaxing, meditative experience. Topics address the principles of sound therapy, techniques for achieving deep relaxation, and the physiological benefits of sound and vibration. Required Corequisite: SEPX-1000
