This course will introduce students to the major forms of psychological disorders (e.g., mood disorders, schizophrenia) and the theoretical perspectives and research methods used to study them in the field. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the symptomology of disorders and their possible biological, psychological, and sociocultural origins. Students will also learn about prevention and treatment of the major disorders. Prerequisite: PSY 130. Code Course Name Credit Lecture Lab
