The focus of this course is on current issues and trends in the practice of nursing. Emphasis is on the transition of student nurse to professional nurse with attention to development of leadership and management skills. Opportunities for future profession al growth are discussed. Students are expected to adhere to the standards of nursing practice as well as those set forth by the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Nursing Practice Act and Rules for Administration of the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Nursing Pra ctice Act.
