NUR 144 — Nursing Through the Life Cycle II 5 3 4

The course is designed to further study basic nursing principles, focusing on persons with a health alteration of immunity, cell growth, skin integrity, mobility, or neurosensory function and includes diet therapy, preventative, supportive, rehabilitative, pharmacologic measures, and community resources. Supervised experiences in various clinical agencies will correlate with theory. The nursing process will be utilized for the delivery of nursing care. Pre and post conferences will provide students the opportunity to communicate with the health care team and with each other. Students are expected to adhere to the standards of nursing practice as set forth by the Illinois Nursing Act and Advanced Nursing Practice Act and Rules for Administration of the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Nursing Practice Act. Prerequisite: Completion of NUR 130, 135, and BIO 200. Completion of/or concurrent enrollment in BIO 201, NUR 143, and PSY 130. Code Course Name Credit Lecture Lab
