MLAB2401 — Clinical Chemistry

4 Credit Hour(s) An overview of clinical chemistry theory, principles, procedures, and correlations. Tests for glucose, urea, creatinine, uric acid, proteins, bilirubin, enzymes and electrolytes are included. Colorimetric and photometric techniques used in examining normal and abnormal clinical specimens are introduced along with special procedures such as immunoassays and electrophoresis. This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
