GART1070 — Vector Illustration I

3 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces computer illustration using vector-based editing software. Emphasis will be placed on the creation of object-oriented graphics, line art, and technical illustration by mastering the pen tool, using tracing templates, creating and editing display type and type outlines, working with 4-color process and custom spot color, and working with layers and masks. One Macintosh computer per student is assigned for the course. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
