ENVI2044 — Industrial Hygiene
4 Credit Hour(s) This course prepares the student to recognize and evaluate occupational hazards: noise, heat, dust, solvents, ionizing, and non-ionizing radiation. Control measures such as ventilation, personal protection equipment and respiratory protection are covered. Government regulations and their impact upon the industry are addressed. Technical report writing is emphasized and the student is required to write formal reports on projects. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
