CORT2070 — Court Report Internship
3 Credit Hour(s) The student practices the skills needed to be a court reporter (freelance official, closed-captioned, conference). More than 60 clock hours of practical experience, on an individual basis, in the courtroom or in a deposition situation under the supervision of a working court reporter are required. From this actual experience, the student submits an acceptable 50-page transcript. This internship commences after the student is writing 200 words per minute. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
