Emphasizes the study of psychological disorders in children, adolescents, adults, and the aged. Focuses on description, assessment, and treatment of abnormal behavior patterns. Includes disorders of stress, eating, anxiety, and personality, as well as affective disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, substance-related disorders, sexual and gender identity disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and ethical issues related to the mental health profession.
