LAW215 — Electroni Discovery
Introduction to the legal and technological factors that impact the electronic discovery process in civil litigation. This is a beginning course explaining the basic technologies involved in electronically stored information and retrieval of that information. It also applies the rules of civil procedure as they relate to electronically stored information and the extent to which those rules govern E-Discovery. This course will provide students with a working knowledge of the principal e-discovery issues encountered in litigation and investigations and the legal framework required to analyze and to resolve the multitude of ediscovery issues. This course will also introduce a variety of industry-standard electronic discovery tools.
