ENGL 2241 — Film History
Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 This course is a survey of the major developments, movements, and critical approaches in film, with par- ticular emphasis on narrative film. The course emphasizes an understanding of the historical, cultural, and aesthetic context that influence film and develops the student’s understanding of a film’s narrative and visual structure. Screenings of films required.
