CJUS 1111 — Introduction to Correction

This course will examine the institutional and non–in- stitutional aspects of contemporary corrections. Community corrections, probation, parole and other forms of intermediate sanctions and incarceration al- ternatives will be analyzed. The operations of jails and prisons will be evaluated by focusing on safety, security, classification and programming.
