ECED 1003 — FOUNDATIONS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Pre-requisite: Admission to the Early Childhood Education program. This course is designed to acquaint students with the historical roles of families in their children’s development. Students become familiar with theories supporting early childhood education and learn how to develop an effective program designed uniquely for children birth to eight. Students also obtain knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to the care and education of young children. A minimum of 4 observation hours required.
