ASL 2300 - Educational Interpreting ASL 2300 - Educational Interpreting 3 Cr. Hr(s). This course presents an overview of educational interpreting with a focus on the K-12 setting. Topics include: the role of the educational interpreter, deafness and other disabilities, the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) process and the Ohio Department of Education’s (ODE) Educational Interpreter Guidelines and licensure process. Prerequisite(s): ASL 2202 AND ASL 2231 AND Restricted to Majors
