TOTAL UNITS FOR CERTIFICATE: 7 Nursing – Associate Degree Nursing Associate in Science: SC Program: AS.1380 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The educational objective of the Associate in Science Degree Nursing program is to prepare the student who, upon graduation and successful completion of the NCLEX-RN, will be able to function within the scope of nursing as defined by the State of California Nursing Practice Act. Students must meet established physical criteria to participate in the clinical area. This degree is approved through the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. Upon satisfactory completion of all degree requirements and filing an application for graduation with Admissions and Records , the student’s transcript will reflect completion of this degree.
