FTWO 113 — INTRODUCTION TO WILDLAND FIRE BEHAVIOR

S-190 – 0.5 Units Grading: Pass/No Pass Option Note: While any student can take this course, for National Wildland Coordinating Group Certification, the student must meet a complex set of prior training, prior certification, field trainee assignments, previous education requirements and current employees rec ommendations for certification (as stated in the United States Forest Service NWCG 310-1 standards). This document changes frequently. Students shall ensure that they meet the current NWCG 310-1 standards for this course if they desire to receive a course completion certificate. A copy of NWCG 310-1 can be found in the Fire Technology Division or at the National Interagency Fire Center Web Site (NIFC.gov). Class Hours: 9 lecture total This course of study provides an introduction to wildland fire behavior issues that are important to wildland fire spread and safety to firefighters involved in suppression.
