FTWL 101 — WILDLAND FIRE BEHAVIOR – 3 Units
Grading: Pass/No Pass Option Class Hours: 54 lecture total (when offered in the distance education format, hours will total 162) This course of study provides the information necessary to understand wildland fire behavior. The course includes influences that affect basic wildland fire behavior, the seven wildland fire environment factors which must be continuously monitored in makin g wildland fire behavior predictions, and providing the tools to make spot fire behavior predictions. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
