Students who successfully complete this training, and meet the Bureau's additional requirements, will qualify to apply fo r the Smog Check Inspector state licensing examination . B BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES (BIOL) BIOL 1 PRINCIPLES OF BIOLOGY – 4 Units Prerequisite: CHEM 1A with a grade of C or higher Class Hours: 36 lecture/108 lab total C-ID: BIOL 190 This is a biological science course emphasizing molecular and cellular organization, energetics of respiration and photosynthesis, and cell integration and development.
