PHYS 2424 — – General Physics II
This lecture-laboratory course is a continuation of PHYS 2414. Topics covered include simple harmonic motion, waves, sound, static and current electricity, simple circuits, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, light, geometric optics (reflection, refraction, lenses, mirrors) and wave optics (diffraction, interference). Given sufficient time and interest, selected topics from modern physics will be addressed. The laboratory portion of the course is designed to reinforce concepts from lectures.
