CRIM 2373 — – Criminal Investigation I
This is an introduction to the act of investigation. Attention to the importance of information, interrogation, and instrumentation in the solution and preparation of criminal cases for trial. Examination of the rules regarding the admissibility of evidence, specifically as they affect the law enforcement officer in the processes of arrest, force, search, seizure, preservation, custody, and testimony. Review of the Arkansas Code of Criminal Procedure and leading case law on each topic. Survey of general procedures, concepts, and practical application of the mechanics of criminal investigation.
