NURS 4220 - Community Health Clinical NURS 4220 - Community Health Clinical This is the clinical section of NURS 4225 - Nursing Care III: Community Health . This course expands the focus of nursing to the community and populations by providing a theoretical basis for community health nursing and public health practices. Students participate in home visits, health screenings, and health promotions/educational activities. The course addresses environmental health, safety, disaster response, epidemiology, and communicable diseases affecting the health of individuals, families, and communities (5 credit hours are divided into 3 credit hours lecture and 2 credit hour clinical learning experiences, which is a 1:3 ratio, or 6 clinical /week [90 total clinical ]). The course includes one 0.5-hour recitation per week. Fall, spring.
