MAT 112 — Quantative Literacy or higher
EXCLUDING MAT 115 and MAT 240 - OR - Topics extended to the college level include real numbers exponents and radicals polynomials and factoring fractional expressions equations and inequalities functions and their graphs conic sections and systems of equations and inequalities. New topics include zeros of polynomial functions rational functions exponential and logarithmic functions matrices sequences and the Binomial Theorem. This course requires a graphing calculator. ELA Placement: No ELA Requirement Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MAT 081 or MAT 090 (or higher) OR concurrent enrollment in MAT 021 OR appropriate placement.
