ENG 230 — Minority American Literature 3 Hours
Students will read, discuss, and respond to selected works of minority communities in the United States, gaining insight into the unique voices, experiences, and cultural contributions of these communities. The course will examine themes of identity, resistance, and representation within the context of American society. Through the study of novels, short stories, poetry, and essays, students will examine the cultural, social, and political contexts that shape minority literature and the ways in which it challenges dominant narratives. Prerequisite: ENG 101 with a grade of C or higher or its equivalent or consent of instructor.
