COM141 — Intercultural Communication 3 Hours

This course combines interpersonal communication theory with the practice of intercultural communication. The course 1 examines how culture influences the communication process including values beliefs norms linguistic and nonverbal differences between cultures cultural bias ethnocentrism globalization and cultural adjustment and 2 reviews major theories of intercultural communication and the practical approaches to communicating more effectively with persons from other cultures.
