GLY 2010 - Introduction to Geology GLY 2010 - Introduction to Geology The course will also explore interactions between these spheres, including critical analysis of scientific theories and emphasize lithospheric connections with humanity. Topics include: Earth materials, their formation and distribution; landforms and the processes that create and alter them; fossils and time; and the theory of plate tectonics. The course earns General Education credit under the Physical Sciences category for which successful students will demonstrate the skills necessary to understand and apply scientific concepts and reasoning, including the analysis and interpretation of various types of data.
