REST 126 — Real Estate Finance 3 Units
Students will engage in a comprehensive study of the principles and practices of real estate finance, with emphasis on California real estate markets. Topics include sources of funds, loan instruments, mortgage markets, government programs, and the role of financial institutions. Students will explore financing alternatives for residential, commercial, and investment properties, as well as the impact of interest rates, credit analysis, and risk assessment. The course also covers current trends, legal and regulatory requirements, and ethical considerations in real estate lending. This is an elective course for the California Real Estate Salesperson license and a required course for the California Real Estate Broker license.
